ShaRie MaRie Ellis, singing professionally since the age of ten, and developing her writing abilities since then as well, has assembled a collection of songs that truly represent the Essence of Love.
Her father, Mel Ellis, world renowned outdoor writer for Disney, National Geographic, Field & Stream and the Milwaukee Journal, was her mentor. Her professional name is in his memory since,when she was little,it was the name he used when singing to her.
ShaRie MaRie worked as a studio back-up singer for Pop and Ethnic groups, and in theatre during her high school years. She continued that work, in addition to performing in musicals and variety shows, during her days at Marquette University.Her background also includes media commercial work with Shirley Hamilton Advertising Agency, performing at military bases and entertaining at numerous country clubs while teaching about a writer or era with her own concept called Musication™. She also performed in various duo night club acts-the most interesting being Mac & Davis (She being "Mac" since she had become "Irish" through marriage).
She was the featured singer and sometimes comedic story teller with numerous orchestras and bands for dances, parties, conventions, clubs, weddings, stage shows, concerts and charity benefits.
Sharie Marie formed 'Encore Broadcast Productions' for which she sang, co-wrote, and helped develop radio and TV commercials. And then, once again, she concentrated her efforts in musical theatre.
It was her interest in song writing, however, that led her to work with Tom Tom MMLXXXIV Washington, who arranged the music for a seventeen piece band performance featuring ShaRie MaRie at the Miller Theatre for a Houston-in-the-Park Jazz Festival. Since then, ShaRie MaRie wrote lyrics for a couple of Tom Tom's songs/arrangements, and soon she was writing the music and lyrics for his arrangements that lead up to the production of the album.....ESSENCE OF LOVE
